BUILDING AND CIVIL CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING (N1/N2/N3)
Engineering plays an important role in the life of every person, from the water in our home, the roads we use to commute to work and the buildings around us. Engineering that is done in conjunction with construction projects is referred to as Civil Engineering. It includes the design, planning, construction and maintenance of infrastructure and commercial projects which includes bridges, roads, dams, water supply facilities, buildings and other structures. Civil Engineers are overseers who delegate the various tasks and administer the ongoing preservation of established standards, ensuring that all disciplines work together to create a safe, functional structure that complies with government regulations.
The N1 course is designed to cover the basics and theoretical aspects of Building and Civil Construction Engineering.
The N2 level will give you a better understanding of the Building and Civil Construction Engineering field. In this level, you will learn how to read technical drawings and how to go about planning the construction and maintenance of the structure and project, thereby making it safe, economical and functional.
The N3 level builds on the knowledge and skills gained in the previous levels and prepare you for a career as an artisan in the field of Building and Civil Construction Engineering. It will prepare you to better understand the industry’s practices and administrative procedures in the Mechanical engineering environment. The theoretical knowledge gained in this course will prepare you to complete the practical training and trade test eventually allowing the student to attain artisan status. The salary of qualified artisans compares favourably to other careers and also affords the student an opportunity to start their own business.
